in Austria, e-scooters are subject to the Austrian Bicycle Ordinance, which provides for and requires the use of passive lighting (reflectors according to ECE 104) without restriction.

This stipulates that appropriate reflectors must be fitted to the front (white), sides (yellow) and rear (red) when the vehicle is moved in public traffic.

The reflectors must each have an area of 20 cm².
